Rasam

Ingredients

• Thurava Paripp (Red gram)     - 50 gm
• Ginger                                          - 1 tsp
• Garlic                                           - 1 tsp
• Tomato                                       - 1 nos
• Vayalil Spices Rasam Powder - 2 Tbsp
• Mustard                                       - 1tsp
• Red Chilli                                     - 2 nos
• Curry Leaves                              - As required
• Salt                                              - to taste

Preparation

Recipe Cook Time: 15 Minutes
    Add Thuvara Paripp, ginger, garlic and salt with sufficient water in a pot and heat it well. Squeeze tamarind in water and add the tamarind water to the rasam. Heat oil in a pan, add tomato and Vayalil Spices Rasam powder and stir for a minute. Add this to the rasam. Add salt if necessary. Then, in a pan add coconut oil and fry mustard, shallot, red chilli and curry leaves. Season it over the rasam.
